What uninstalling does
When RevenuePath receives Shopify's verified app/uninstalled event, it disables scheduled monitoring, cancels queued work, prevents the old installation from being reused, and removes Shopify and storefront-access secrets. Uninstall is not treated as a request to erase records that must be retained temporarily for security, legal, or Shopify lifecycle handling.
Automatic Shopify deletion flow
RevenuePath accepts Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. A valid shop/redact request removes the shop record and its related monitors, runs, steps, and incidents from the service database, then queues private evidence for deletion. Failure screenshots are also subject to a seven-day storage lifecycle. RevenuePath does not intentionally store shopper profiles, orders, or payment data; Shopify customer privacy events are recorded only as bounded delivery metadata needed for compliance and security.
Request deletion directly
- Email privacy@getrevenuepath.com from an address associated with the merchant, using the subject “Data deletion request”.
- Include the permanent
your-store.myshopify.comdomain and describe whether the request concerns the whole store installation, a support conversation, or your own contact data. - Complete a proportionate identity and authority check. Do not send a password, token, payment information, government ID, or shopper data unless we specifically establish a lawful and secure verification method.
We respond as soon as possible and no later than 30 days. We may retain narrowly limited information where a law requires it or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend a legal right. Such data is restricted, not used for monitoring or marketing, and deleted when that reason ends.
What confirmation contains
After verification and processing, we will explain the action taken, the categories erased or scheduled for erasure, and any lawful exception. If a request cannot be completed, we will explain the reason and the available complaint route. Questions may be sent to privacy@getrevenuepath.com.
